Talk 1: Notebooks are still cool...with Jupyter - Ryan Bales
If you look around any tech stack, you see numerous IDEs, packages, and other development tools. However, it’s hard to find a streamlined tool that can be used for data analysis that provides the ability to quickly share your results with collaborators. Enter Project Jupyter…
Whether you’re coding in Python, R or even JavaScript, Jupyter is a tool you should consider for your toolbelt. Jupyter notebooks provide a platform for data scientists and engineers to rapidly prototype, experiment, and share their findings with each other. Come and learn about how you and your team can leverage Jupyter notebooks, JupyterLab, or the collaborative JupyterHub. You’ll leave this session with a better understanding of what you can do with Jupyter notebooks as well as how to run Jupyter notebooks on your local system or your favorite cloud service.
Talk 2: Why Pattern Matching is AWESOME! - Nick Muoh
With the announcement of the latest PEP, PEP 622, comes the introduction of structural pattern matching to the python programming language. This talk will go into what is pattern matching, why is it a powerful programming concept, how PEP 622 approaches pattern matching and how it differs from other languages.
