Details

Talk 1: Python DOES Functional
Python is often described as a multi-paradigm language. But that leaves a lot to unpack. This talk takes a look at one aspect Python has implemented as a multi-paradigm language. The paradigm of Functional Programming. What is Functional Programming? And how does Python currently fulfill the requirements to be considered a Functional Programming Language? And finally: How can you use Python’s Functional Programming Paradigm every day to make your code more readable, understandable, and maintainable? The goal of this talk is to address those questions in order to convey an understanding of how Python DOES Functional.

Talk 2: Getting started with Circuit Playground Express
Circuit Playground Express is a board that is made for folks, beginners and advanced alike, to get started with coding hardware using python. This talk will introduce you to circuitpython and how you can program a circuit playground express for fun! If you were at PyCon earlier this month, you will have a circuit playground express in your swag bag. Bring the board and a micro usb cable (with data transfer capabilities) to play along.

Module of the Month TBD.
