We’ve come a long way from laying web pages out using hand-written HTML tables and inline styles (raise your hand if you remember the Slice tool!). Join me as I walk us through a selection of the many ways to style React apps available to us here in 2020. We’ll go through different ways to use CSS files, style objects, and a sampling of different CSS-in-JS libraries. We’ll also cover trade-offs of different styling approaches, and different strategies for maintaining styles as our apps grow in size and complexity over time.
Dan has been developing web sites for a couple of decades now. In 2007 he joined up with a group called Sprokets, and has lead their front-end development efforts since then, creating accessible and performant web sites and apps for various clients. He is also co-founder/co-organizer of Cleveland React.
