Pathfinder Campaign at Dianna's Deli: Between the Demon and the Deep Blue Sea.

“But I've already BEEN to Marco's Oddities and Weirdities! Thrice times! It did not end well!” exclaimed Alexios the wizard. “That's not the museum that I'm looking for! I've been to every library in the city, and I've gained a lot of knowledge about the various sihedrons throughout history, but not THIS specific sihedron, or why everyone is looking for its pieces.” The wizard, with the warpriest in tow, went back to their rented city estate with a lot of knowledge, but little to show for it. “I just don't get it, Umhur. This sihedron. It's broken into shards. It's not THE sihedron from history, but one that is just as important. The devil lord Belial had an affair with two powerful demons that he should not have: Calistria and Nocticula. Then, he disappeared – like 800 years ago – from all texts, and seemingly all existence. NOW everyone is suddenly looking for these shards. I just don't get it.” The two of them entered the estate to find Bixbite still asleep on the couch. The latest batch of handbills from the Magnimar Chronicle arrived. Alexious paged through them. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. The countryside is recovering. Temples of Calistria are being attacked. Wait. What's this? We're dead?!” The team had lost their ship. Eyewitness accounts tell a story of how The Reeboe was rented out to a group of people, and once the ship left the Magnimar harbor, how a squadron of harpies descended upon it, cut the people and the crew to shreds, and then sunk the ship, right there outside of the Magnimar harbor. Hex ran by with his latest batch of poison. “That makes another gallon. Whew. Time flies.” as a few drops spilled on the tile floor of the estate. “Put it by the other kegs of questionable liquids down in the basement,” said Grey, as he stirred the stew in the kitchen. Amadi, fresh from his month at the local martial academy, came strolling in the door, flexing. The month of relaxation and recuperation had come to an end, and it was time to get back out there. Just then, there was a knock at the door. A finely-dressed couple stood there with importance and stern looks on their faces. Without being invited inside, the two stepped into the foyer of the mansion. The man started casting Detect Magic, and like a spotlight, scanned the estate. “This big guy here has a lot of shiny objects, but I haven't found it yet.” Hex ran upstairs to warn the resting Alexios. “Maybe follow him,” said the woman. The man scanned the upstairs, and the shard started to glow like a beacon. “Yep. It's here. It's up there.” The team stopped the pair from coming any further into the mansion. There was a standoff between the pair and the warder, each side claiming dominion over this property. They got into a debate about personal and property rights versus eminent domain. Just then, Grey came walking down the stairs with the shard wrapped up in a cloth. Immediately, in all of their heads, they heard the words spoken in abyssal: “I have found it. It is here.” Everyone turned around to look back out through the open front doors to see a very serious-looking demon removing its disguise and walking across the street towards them, with a serious purpose in mind. It's sickly leathery wings flexing outward. Blood was drooling out of its mouth. It's claws were extended, and it was wrapped in a shroud of negative energy from another plane. It was focused on the shard that just surfaced from the room upstairs.
