I've heard about this going on at other meetup groups and thought it would be fun to try. Depending on how many people attend, we can break into groups and look at the source for different ruby gems. Maybe we can even look for opportunities to contribute to them! As a rule of thumb, lets try and keep the size of the code base for the gems that we'll be looking at near 100 lines (or less). That way we can get through the code quickly and make sure everyone in the group(s) has a chance to understand how it works and ask questions about the things that they don't understand.
