Through the Backyard: Shortcuts for Growing your Side Project - Dave Kiss

Details
You've heard it before: you're living in an unprecedented time where you have the resources available to learn anything you want online and the inexpensive tools to build a business from the comfort of your own home. The only limit is your passion, creativity, and drive.
Great. Enough rah-rah. Now what?
I've worked for the past five years to take this concept, extract my truth, and put it to the test. In doing so, I built up a side-project that allowed me to quit my full-time job and work on the things I truly want to work on.
In this talk, I'll share with you what I found to be most helpful along the way so that you can start to focus on the goals and well-being of the one person that truly matters in your career: yourself.
This month Dave Kiss will give us a presentation based on his entrepreneurial experiences. Dave gave a great lightning talk to the group back in February and I'm looking forward to learning more about his creative approach to building products out of small personal projects.
Schedule:
6:00 - Open Discussions, Networking
6:30 - Announcements, Lightning Talks?
7:00-? - Dave's presentation
Afterwards - Off to Nano's
Parking at LeanDog is free - turn left into the drive just past the USS Cod, go to the left of the booth (there is no gate and you don't have to pay) and grab a parking spot. Walk to the boat. We'll be in the downstairs LeanDog space (door to the left) at the front of the boat.
