Creating spaces for deeper conversations to happen
Details
The topic for this month's Meetup is how we can create spaces for having much deeper conversations about climate and about our world.
In these Meetups we talk a lot about how we can be different when we are in difficult conversations. But something that became especially apparent after our conversation about colonisation is that often there is no time or place to have these conversations. How do you start the conversation - especially when you know it's going to involve emotions and vulnerability? Perhaps we need to actively create spaces - whether online or physically - where these conversations can happen, evolve and become more normal.
This session will be about exploring, sharing and generating ideas for creating those spaces with family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, clients - whoever it is you want to be inviting into the conversation :)
We'll also be joined by Jo Alexander sharing her story of creating space for talking about climate in an unlikely arena... guaranteed to inspire you!
-------------------------
These meetups are a safe facilitated space to work through our conversational stuck points, practice new ways of talking about our world, our future, and unlearn old ideas about how we create change - in ourselves and in others. Please come ready to listen to the perspectives of others with compassion and respect.
