The conversation for this Meetup will be around re-imagining what it means to be an activist and engage in activism. Many people who want to create change in our world don't see themselves as 'activists' because it has adversarial and sometimes aggressive connotations. Is it time for a new, more compassionate style of activism? What would that look like? What would it mean for calling out harm and holding people and institutions to account? Can you be angry/outraged and compassionate at the same time?

This session will be a collective imagining and sensing of a possible future wanting to emerge. So put your thinking cap on, bring your creativity, and let's create a new story of activism :D

These meetups are a safe facilitated space to work through our conversational stuck points, practice new ways of talking about our world, our future, and unlearn old ideas about how we create change - in ourselves and in others. Please come ready to listen to the perspectives of others with compassion and respect.
