• Do you want to break through your comfort zone so you truly have an impact on the climate crisis ?

• Do you want to trade in excuses, procrastination, fretting and complaining for EFFECTIVE ACTION?

• Do you want to work with an organization that can empower you in your efforts and provide you with the education, tools and support you need to have an impact?

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.

Our consistently respectful, non-partisan approach to climate education is designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for climate action across all geographic regions and political inclinations. By building upon shared values rather than partisan divides, and empowering our supporters to work in keeping with the concerns of their local communities, we work towards the adoption of fair, effective, and sustainable climate change solutions.

In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of our Carbon Fee and Dividend proposal (https://citizensclimatelobby.org/carbon-fee-and-dividend/) we train and support volunteers to build relationships with elected officials, the media and their local community

To join our local chapter fill out the form here: https://citizensclimatelobby.org/chapters/CA_Alameda_County/

Citizens Climate Lobby Monthly Meeting

Finish Hall

The Alameda County Chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby meets the third Monday of each month. We alternate between Berkeley (even months) and Oakland (odd months). In Berkeley we meet at the Finnish Hall at 1970 Chestnut Street and University Avenue, in the Ski Club Room - entrance is on the north side of the building towards the back of the parking lot. In Oakland we meet at Oakstop at 1721 Broadway, just steps from the 19th street BART. Use code 202# to get buzzed in the door. New people should arrive at 6:30 for an orientation. Meeting will start at 7:00. We'll be giving updates on recent activities and we'll be setting aside time for small group meetings. That will provide some working time for teams, but also offers an opportunity for newcomers to sample the range of projects and activities we’re involved in (letter writing, lobbying, and more). Sign up for notices at http://citizensclimatelobby.org/chapters/CA_Alameda_County/
