Feasibility Dinner (plus a glass of wine!)

  • Sep 10, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

At dinner we'll discuss best practices for feasibility and site selection.  Whether you are working in an advanced disease state, searching for new investigative sites or simply interested in ranking sites you have worked with in the past, this discussion will be tailored just for you.

What you can expect from the feasibility dinner meetup?

• a template questionnaire that can be tailored to meet the needs of a group of trials, a specific study, and all phases of drug development

• recommendations for gathering available data sources and insights for proposed investigators

• advice and best practices for performing a statistically based feasibility

• an informal meetup, a brief presentation (not stuffy, and not too long, I promise!), yummy food, but primarily a fun exchange

Who should attend?

This group is inclusive, the more diverse perspectives the better. This event is geared towards established clinical operations professionals working in multi-center drug/device/diagnostic clinical trials, all therapeutic areas welcome.  CRAs, Trial Managers, Data Managers, Statisticians, Project Managers, Regulatory professionals, and even entry-level folks are invited to the discussion.  However, non-industry folks, spouses, friends, etc. can also attend.

Feel free to invite a guest or share the invite with others. An outside perspective on clinical operation processes is always welcome in this group.  When putting together a toolkit, it is important to challenge the status quo and turn things on their head; outsiders offer lots of inspiration and can be the best innovators, so please do bring along a buddy!

You will have the opportunity to discuss the topic of feasibility with a small group of like-minded clinical operations professionals that face similar challenges in site selection. I'd be delighted for you to attend and share your best tips in this fun interactive discussion about feasibility and site selection.

Our restaurant in San Carlos is conveniently located just two short blocks away from caltrain (plus there is ample free parking in the area).

The total charge of $31.50 includes dinner of three courses (your choice between several delicious entrees including a vegetarian option). Registrations received after September 8th have a $10 service charge. Your registration can be transferred. I will cover the gratuity, tax, and all other fees, I'll even buy you a glass of wine (that should help get the discussion started).

Full payment is kindly requested prior to the event (contact me to arrange payment via cash/check, paypal, or use the Amazon secure link in this invite).  RSVP is required beforehand - the restaurant requires an accurate headcount.  Please RSVP now to hold your spot. The dinner was great. Sharing ideas on what other people are doing to select sites was very helpful. I heard some new ideas such as asking present CRAs if they would recomend the site for another study was good.

Looking forward to dinner next week. This event is a go. Thanks, everyone for signing up and sharing the details with others who may attend. Late registration is open now ($31.50 + no additional service fee with advance payment). Please do submit payment and RSVP this week so I can provide the deposit and projected number of attendees to our venue for finalizing the menu.

Our venue, Limone has put together a fabulous menu and reserved space for our group. I have returned the contract so now we just need about 10 more attendees in order to confirm. If we are less than 16 by Labor Day then I will unfortunately, need to cancel this event. Please invite other ClinOps Pros who may be interested.

I have added an Amazon payment option to the invite. I request that you submit $31.50 in the next 2 weeks to reserve your spot. $31.50 will cover the entire cost of your meal. I will take care of the gratuity, taxes, tips, and any other fees.

Any payments that are received after the end of August will be subject to a $10 service fee.

Contact me at [masked] if you have any questions or would like to make other payment arrangements (i.e paypal, cash, personal check, etc.).

Refunds are possible for up to a week prior to the event. Your reservation is also transferable.

Thanks everyone for RSVPing. Contact me at [masked] to arrange payment if you have not already done so or just pay right through the meetup link (cancellations with refund requested by September 5th). Happily, we now have plenty of folks confirmed (thank you!) but the room can actually comfortably accommodate about 12 more. How about if you all invite one person you know who might be interested in attending and then we'll have an even bigger group. Bigger group = more networking + more discussion + more fun!

I plan on attending unless I have the other panel to attend. I will let you know if things change.
