Week 8 - Marathon Training 13 or 15 miles
Week 8 of our Official Marathon Training. Mileage for this week will be 13 or 15 miles. All groups will be split into their running pace's. Groups start at 7.30 min/mile upto 11.00 min/mile with 30 second incremental groups in-between. . We meet at the clocktower located right behind the recreation drive parking lot. Water and Gatorade is available on site for runners. All are welcome to join us for coffee and bagels afterward the run, to chat about future races and fun runs. Our Fun Runs restart again on October[masked] at 8 am and we go on all winter. Rain, snow or shine we will be out there every Saturday. What we're about

Clocktower Runners is an established Chicago running club offering free marathon training during the summer. However we are still very active during the winter as well- Come run with us!

During the "off season" we meet every Saturday morning @ 8:00 am, starting from the Waveland Clocktower on Chicago's lakefront (Lakeview area). We have some runners training for Spring races but also some that are just keeping active during the winter months.

Pace and distance are up to each individual runner, but most people typically run between 6 and 12 miles. We also gather for coffee and bagels afterward to chat about future races and fun runs.
