Cloud Data Pipelines (RO, online, free)

This month we're hosting a special Cloud Native Bucharest meetup, as part of Big Data Week Bucharest. That's why it's not on Thursday :)

We're all Cloud Native practitioners here: kubernetes, microservices, cloud applications. Data is omnipresent in our cloud ecosystems, and data engineering is rapidly turning cloud native in most organisations. The walls between application development and data engineering are going down, and new bridges emerge. We have three awesome speakers sharing their wisdom on the topic:

Speakers

• Octavian Zarzu Developer Advocate @ Firebolt - will give us a rapid show & tell about Firebolt, the new kid on the block in the cloud data warehouse space, boasting about the fastest data experience. Judging by their recent growth, they must be doing something right.
• Dragos Cioata, Data Engineer @ Adore Me - will showcase Adore Me's self-service data infrastructure: a mix of pubsub, cloud functions, bigquery and github actions. All engineering teams are empowered to manage their pipelines and push microservice data where needed by themselves, without bottlenecking the data engineers.
• Horia Niculescu, Customer Engineer @ Google - will give us a quick intro into Vertex AI, Google's unified ML platform. Fun fact: Pipelines in Vertex are managed KubeFlow pipelines, and we'll see how it enables running ML workloads in Kubernetes.
