Working in the constrained financial trading and risk management environment, our dev team managed to eliminate technical debt, review and rewrite core components of our risk engine all while delivering on business as usual tasks. Our marginal improvements lead up to a substantially more reliable and scalable solution. Through the use of containers and k8 as the orchestration platform, we positioned our system to be ready for our organizations' push towards cloud without much fuss.

This is the tale of how we turned a relatively unknown trading platform in an ocean of trading platforms into one of two strategic systems for the organisation. [Technicality Rating: 2/4]
