Session 1: Migration from Azure App Service to Azure Kubernetes Service

During our project we reached the flexibility limits of Azure App Service and decided to move to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). In this talk I will present our learnings in terms of changes to our CI/CD setup, the architecture, the development and talk about knowledge transfer and responsibilities.

Speaker: Marc Merzinger is a Software Engineer living in Switzerland. He works at ti&m as part of the cloud team. His area of expertise is around containers, Kubernetes, Azure and GCP.

Session 2: Cloud-Native Chaos Engineering with Litmus

As resilience use-cases proliferate, Chaos Engineering has become a compelling practice for enhancing your application resilience. Whether you want to run chaos manually or through CI/CD! Litmus brings together configurable environments to trigger chaos experiments automatically. If Chaos Engineering is on your radar, this talk is perfect for you!

Speaker: Sayan Mondal works at ChaosNative as a Software Engineer and contributor to Litmus. He helps design, architect, and improve Litmus as a Cloud-Native Chaos Engineering tool.

Session 3: DAPR – One Year In Production

We started to use Dapr at Ventus Cloud long before v1.0, believing that it is the future and our beliefs paid off. During this talk I will provide short overview of the Dapr itself and share some interesting scenarios that we’ve encountered.

Speaker: Stepan Maksymchuk is Technical Program Manager at Ventus Cloud AG. He's a solution architect, full cycle software engineer and open source contributor.

The event will be recorded and made available later on VSHN's YouTube channel: https://vshn.tv – subscribe to be notified of updates!

We expect all participants to abide by VSHN's Conference Code of Conduct: https://www.vshn.ch/en/code-of-conduct/

If you would like to talk about your cloud-native projects in the CNC Switzerland meetup events, just send us your talk suggestion here: https://cnc-meetup.ch – we look forward to hearing from you!

Looking forward to seeing you online!
