How attackers exploit containerized Azure workloads - and how to secure them (David Okeyode, Palo Alto Networks)
The container security threat landscape is constantly evolving. Security researchers and attackers discover new methods to exploit containerized workloads on a frequent basis. Combine this with the variety of container runtime services in Azure (Kubernetes Service - AKS, RedHat OpenShift - ARO, Container Instance, Service Fabric, App Service, Functions, Batch, VMs) and you can see why securing containers in Azure is a struggle for many organizations. In this session, we will cover tactics that attackers use to exploit containerized workloads and practical techniques to limit the likelihood of a successful breach (controls, configurations, and best practices).

David is a cloud security architect at the prisma cloud speedboat at Palo Alto Networks. Before that, he was an independent consultant helping companies secure their Azure environments through private expert level trainings and assessments. He holds 13 professional certifications across Azure and AWS platforms, including the Azure Security Engineer, Azure DevOps and AWS Security Specialist certifications. He has also authored two books on Azure security (published by Packt) and multiple courses for the popular cybersecurity training platform - Cybrary.
David has over a decade of experience in Cybersecurity (consultancy, design, implementation) and over 6 years of experience as a trainer. He has worked with organizations of different sizes from startups to major enterprises to government organizations. David has developed multiple vulnerable by design automation templates that can be used to practice cloud penetration testing techniques. He regularly speaks on cloud security at major industry events like Microsoft Future Decoded and the European Information Security Summit. David is married to a lovely girl who makes the best banana cake in the world. They love travelling the world together.

Sustainability, powered by Argo (Christoph Buchli, Helio AG)
Helio is a new way of doing truly sustainable computing. By making excess capacity of existing data centres available to customers with heavy compute needs, we can significantly reduce the environmental footprint of these jobs. In this session, you will learn how we do that and why Cloud Native Technologies such as argo are a vital part of our solution.

Christoph (twitter.com/C14i_ || linkedin.com/in/chbuchli) has been a Software Engineer for fifteen years and used cloud technologies for the better part of it. Becoming increasingly fascinated by the potential of cloud, but also increasingly concerned about the compute industry's environmental footprint, he decided three years ago to do something about it. Together with his long-time friend Kevin they founded Helio, a platform for sustainable heavy compute.
