Load Testing with F1 (Adelina Simion & Andy Kuszyk, Form3)
Due to a lack of functionality in existing solutions, we wrote our own open source load testing tool at Form3 to test our asynchronous system. This talk focuses on the importance of load testing and showcases our solution, F1. We'll discuss: 1. Load testing fundamentals: What is load testing and why should we care about it? What existing tools are there already and what are their limitations? 2. Introduction to F1: What is F1 and how is it different from existing solutions? What are the main components of F1 and how do we use it? 3. Live demo: let's see F1 in action on a Go demo app! How easy is it to use and what results can we see from it? Join us to learn how we load test our services using F1!

Adelina is a Technology Evangelist at Form3 in London. She started as a Java engineer, then converted to Go in 2018. She is in charge of telling Form3's tech stories, drawing from her own technical experience. Adelina is passionate about sharing good technical content for beginners, who might be intimidated by the abstract concepts and jargon of most technical discussions. Her previous conference talks include speaking about NATS at GopherCon UK and implementing serverless at GopherCon Europe. She is also a LinkedIn Learning instructor. Her course "Applied Concurrency in Go" was published in the platform in Jan 2022. Twitter: https://twitter.com/classic_addetz

Andy Kuszyk is Head of International Engineering at Form3 in London. He's been working as a software engineer for 8 years with a variety of technologies, including .NET, Python and most recently Go. He has been one of the main contributors to F1, the open source load testing tool we will be presenting. His blog is: http://andykuszyk.github.io/

Improve your Cloud Infrastructure Security with a Maturity Assessment Framework (Arick Goomanovsky, Ermetic)
When designing and implementing a security strategy for your cloud infrastructure, you need a clear plan for setting priorities and building a course of action. We created a lightweight and easy to understand framework to help you assess the maturity of your current cloud security practices and build a roadmap for continuous improvement. You'll learn how to gain a clear picture of where your organization currently stands on its path to a secure cloud environment and design a cloud security strategy for your enterprise with clear and practical milestones. You’ll also learn about leveraging automated solutions to improve security across AWS, Azure and GCP.

Arick is a tenured business leader with 2 decades of experience in strategy, technology, research, and leadership in government and the private sector. Prior to founding Ermetic, Arick was a co-founder of Sygnia Consulting, a cyber consulting and incident response firm which was acquired by Temasek Holdings for $250M. Before Sygnia, Arick worked at McKinsey & Company in London, on strategy and operations. He served for 15 years in the IDF Intelligence Corps Unit 8200, where he held senior leadership positions from research to leading hundreds of cyber R&D experts. He received several awards for his unique contributions to national security. Arick earned a BSc in exact sciences (Talpiot program, cum laude), an MSc in mathematics from Hebrew University, and an MBA (cum laude) from INSEAD. Twitter: https://twitter.com/g00manoid

Cloud Native Application Development with Ballerina (Sameera Jayasoma, WSO2)
With many benefits, Cloud Native application development is also getting more and more complex, with languages such as Ballerina we are looking to address some of these challenges and make development life easier for all developers who are adopting a cloud-native way of building APIs, applications etc. In this session, you will learn a bit about why Ballerina and how it can help your cloud-native journey.

Sameera Jayasoma is head of architecture for Ballerina at WSO2. He is one of the designers of the Ballerina language and platform capabilities. He's been working at WSO2 for 14 years and contributed to WSO2 Carbon and Update Manager projects. He's presented at conferences including ApacheCon, OSCON, QCon, and WSO2Con, and has conducted technical workshops on Java, microservices, and the Open Service Gateway Initiative (OSGi).
