Lightning Talks Wanted! Please Volunteer!
Main Talk Description:
StatefulSet, previously known as PetSet, is one of the major features of Kubernetes 1.4. While still in alpha, it's already the easiest and best way to deploy stateful services like databases on Kubernetes.
In this presentation, we will walk through the elements and options of creating a StatefulSet, with detailed examples including deploying:
• Etcd
• Single-master, HA PostgreSQL
• Clustered and/or sharded PostgreSQL
• All of the above, again, using Helm Charts
Attendees will get sample Kubernetes configs and Helm charts they can use themselves, or adapt to other databases.
Extra: A report from KubeCon 2016, for those who weren't able to go.
