In larger environments, the flood of events from infrastructure and applications can overwhelm monitoring systems and system administrators as well, quickly resulting in pager fatigue and therefore staff burnout and long mean time to restoration. Moogsoft helps address these challenges by identifying patterns and suggesting root cause - all without requiring custom programing of rules and relationships.

StackStorm is an open source solution for automation creation, collaboration and execution. In this demonstration, StackStorm will resolve a “situation” that Moogsoft identifies and will work with Moogsoft software to verify that the resolution was successful.

Closed loop automation has long been a holy grail of data center management. While today’s data centers are much more complex than those of prior generations, operators like Facebook, eBay and GitHub have shown that it is possible to achieve closed loop automation by combining intelligent monitoring with intelligent automation.
