Online Meetup: Automated open source software based factories & pipelines

Details
Learn about automated open source software based factories & pipelines for OpenStack, Docker, Jenkins, StackStorm, Consul and more. Join our online meetup 9.00 - 10.00 am Pacific!
Join Jonny Woolridge, of Cambridge Satchel and formerly leading CI/CD at Marks and Spencer, and James Fryman, of StackStorm and formerly GitHub, as they discuss requirements and approaches to building and maintaining the sort of completely automated continuous integration and deployment needed to get software built, deployed and operated faster and with higher quality.
This online meetup will demonstrate a newly available CI/CD automation pipeline built upon StackStorm that ties together many systems from integration through test and deployment and will discuss real world experience and requirements experienced first hand by James and Jonny at firms such as StackStorm, GitHub and Cambridge Satchel as well as at global firms like Marks and Spencer and a large global technology developer currently using StackStorm.
Questions discussed will include:
• What’s the point in automating completely not just integration but deployment?
• What’s the difference between deployment and operations anyway?
• The immutable infrastructure debate, updated
• What is a “software factory”
• What should we watch out for as we seek to 100% automate our software integration, test and deployment?
• What role does Docker play in enabling better software factories?
• What about other pieces, like Consul or Jenkins?
We are hosting our Cloud Online Meetup at 9.00 - 10.00 am Pacific!
