You may have heard the African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
There are many reasons you may want to find a co-founder for your startup including emotional and moral support, camaraderie, support of investors, better decision-making, division of responsibility, complementary skills, accountability, and diversity. Whatever is driving you, you know this decision is a critical one because it can make or break your startup. In a way, your team is even more important than your idea.
But where do you even start looking for someone to partner with who shares your vision and passion and believes in the idea you are perusing?
This meetup community is for you:
if you are looking for a co-founder or connections in general
if you want to pitch your startup idea/product/service and get feedback
if you want to pitch your skills and interests to find a startup that you join as a co-founder
if you need advice on how to grow your startup (we are going to have an expert panel to help you with different aspects of your business)
Here's how it works:
1. Join our Meetup Group. We are also going to have a Fb page soon. 2. Come to join one of our pitch events where you can pitch an idea or join a startup. 3. Support the Co-Founder community by inviting others and providing feedback to help us grow.
This group was started originally by John Tackett to help create a support network for entrepreneurs in Jacksonville who need co-founders. After he stepped down as the organizer, I took over the group because I believed in what John started. Thank you John!
