Hello everyone. I was super nervous as it was my first time presenting my idea. A few of you offered great feedback after the presentations which was very helpful. If you have any suggestions for me or are interested in Tangram please contact me @ [masked].

Any other badass dev's going? I'm talking RoR, Backbone.js, Node.js ninjas.

I always thought unscalable solutions like RoR and node.js was for beginners...

Gia not sure what you mean by unscalable. I'm currently a dev for a RoR site that has over 2 million active users.

After 3 goes of trying to be a co-founder in both junior and senior roles I've learned to go solo. As a junior I got screwed and as a senior the juniors didn't do any work. When I'm ready to hire it will be as an employee working for me. I've learned my lesson the hard way. Sure co-founders work sometimes, when they START off as a team that's worked together on a project and there is good synergy, but the thought of recruiting a co-founder early stage pre funding... it's doubtful.

I may go regardless, maybe someone will inspire me to bring them on board... if nothing else the energy of so many other entrepreneurs will be awesome!

Yes. Founders Stock. in writing. Lesson learned the hard way when young. Also beware of 12 month cliffs for stock grants. I had one job where I built the whole company single handedly only to get pushed out ten days before my one year cliff. Really as long as you get founders stock up front or in written contract, and anti-dilution agreements you should be ok. Sadly this event is full but I will be attending the womens mixer weds at 2pm

Sounds awesome! The world needs more of these. You might want to check out already before going (think online dating to find co-founders).
