Workshop
The Many Modalities of Making Marks on a Map
Over Code for Boston’s past seven years of operation, and across civic tech efforts over the past decade, the most engaging projects often involved maps. Several of our current projects here involve maps. We love maps!

This short talk aims to help those who want to put something on a map but have no idea where to get started. We’ll focus on breadth over depth, touching on approachable analog methods, online services, desktop applications, web mapping tools, and command line scripts. All levels welcome!

Transportation
The Red Line stop for CIC is Kendall. For those who drive, there is a pay parking lot underneath the building and limited meter parking in the area. Please make sure to check in with security when you arrive.

Food
Pizza is provided based on the number of RSVPs to the Meetup.

Schedule
7:00 p.m. - Opening remarks, project updates, announcements
7:20 p.m. - New member orientation
8:00 p.m. - Hacking!
