National Day of Civic **CRAFT** Hacking

Details
August 11th is the 6th annual National Day of Civic Hacking (NDoCH), a nationwide day of action organized by Code for America. Across the country local Brigades, like Code for DC, gather in their respective cities for this free event and use their technical know-how to help improve their communities.
This year, we're doing NDoCH a little differently.
Join us for National Day of Civic Craft Hacking.
Our focus this year is tactical and tactile urbanism. We’ll be breaking out of the virtual space to engage with and improve our communities hands-on.
A collaborative knitting project with local textile artist Amy Wike!
Community-led urban design! Handmade data visualizations! Hardware! IRL mapping!
And to wrap up the day, we'll be putting our civic pride on display with the help of Sound Bike DC, some glitter glue, and a killer soundtrack.
SO! MANY! CRAFTS!
Vegetarian lunch will be available. No computer required. No technical knowledge necessary. Open to children. Dogs are welcome. Come hang, craft, and make our community a little better.
