Hello from Code for Fresno! We are designers, developers, product managers, and Fresno enthusiasts, experts and learners, coming together to build a better Fresno. We welcome all disciplines and skill levels, no coding experience is necessary!
Code for Fresno is a Code for America "brigade" or local chapter focused on building digital tools and providing user feedback to better the digital landscape for Fresno and Central Valley residents. We partner with local governments and community-based organizations to fix and provide input on local services, utilize open data to improve citizen knowledge, and work to expand and enhance tools for democratic engagement. We are just getting started and there are plenty of opportunities to use and refine your skills. Even if you are not the techie type, your contribution and input is still valuable.
A website is incoming, but keep an eye on our Meetup page for info about our next event, project, or hack night. Hope to see you there!
Join us Sunday, May 26th at 2:00PM for Code for Fresno's Civic User Feedback Session in partnership with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and California Government Operations Agency! We'll be at Root Access Hackerspace generating feedback to improve the DMV's website.
