What we're about

We are a volunteer group organizing the Greenville technology community around open source civic technology development as part of the Code for America movement of brigades all over the US. We seek to: educate the community about power of Open Data, build open source applications to use open data to solve community issues, and cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship around civic technology.

The Ted Talks that Inspired us to form the Brigade:

Jennifer Pahlka - Coding for a Better Government (http://www.ted.com/talks/jennifer_pahlka_coding_a_better_government)

Catherine Bracy - Why hackers make good citizens (https://www.ted.com/talks/catherine_bracy_why_good_hackers_make_good_citizens)
