We are a group of civic developers, designers, storytellers and policy leaders who are part of the Code for America Brigade network, and who contribute their skills toward using the web as a platform for local government and community service, as well as providing a skill-sharing environment to further local area tech education.
We have a special connection to the education community, and held our weekly meetings at the Arlington Career Center. However, due to the pandemic, we will be meeting virtually over the summer. Join us June 24th to learn more.
Code for NOVA is teaming up with Commonwealth Learning Systems (https://www.stemplus.net/) to relaunch our brigade after more than a year of being closed. We will be featuring a presentation on the addition of Arlington public transit support to the open source Transportr app (https://transportr.app/) as well as exploring the Mozilla HUBS 3D virtual meeting space brought to us by CLS.
NOTE: Space in HUBs is extremely limited. Most attendees will only be able to watch from the lobby. This will be our first "experiment" holding a meeting in this kind of a space, but we hope to make it a regular part of our practice.
