Join us for Civic Hack and Map Night, where community members use their skills to make San José, and the South Bay, a better place. During tonight's civic hack night, we will focus on Actions on Racial Justice. We will hold a moment of Silence for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Dana Martin, and countless victims of racism, police brutality and transphobia. We will provide a short overview of history of racism in the United States, followed by a discussion on racism and actions towards racial justice.
After the discussion, we will share updates on Code for San Jose projects, and breakout into our project teams. OpenStreetMap South Bay will also be meeting to work on updating OpenStreetMap, an open source map that everyone can edit.
