We will hear from guest speaker Omar Arauza on the Record Clearance Project. The Record Clearance Project at SJSU provides free legal services, including: presentations regarding expungement law and employment rights of people with criminal convictions, representation in court on petitions to dismiss eligible convictions and reduce eligible felonies to misdemeanors in Santa Clara County and a peer mentoring program helping people transition from custody to prepare for their new futures.
