On Tuesday, August 20, Code With Pride will be hosting JavaScript presentations from community members in the main space at LaunchCode's Mentor Center. Join LaunchCode + 1904labs for an evening of building your tech skills and networking with other LGBTQIA+ technologists and allies.

Yes! Allies are welcome!

First, we will hear from Ryan Coleman - former LaunchCoder and current Senior Developer Analyst for Maritz Motivation. They will be presenting "Cracking Your Code: Debugging JS Using Chrome Dev Tools." Ryan's presentation will begin around 6:15-20 p.m.

Then, we will hear from Rachele Moresi - former LaunchCoder and current Full Stack Engineer for Thorn. She will be presenting "Telling Stories with D3.js." Rachele's presentation will begin around 6:50-55 p.m.

As always, this event will begin and end with time for networking / asking for help on coding projects, and we will have free food and drinks for all attendees. You will also have a chance to mix and mingle with Ryan and Rachele to learn more about their topics and their work. Bring your computer if you have a project or issue you're working on!

Also, we are still looking for individuals interested in being part of our panel on October 15, 2019! This panel will feature LGBTQIA+ technologists and allies at all levels of experience, talking about technical topics as well as their experience of being in or adjacent to the LGBTQIA+ community in a tech work environment.

We would still love to see your applications to be a speaker at one of our meetups in 2020. Let us know a topic you would like to preset about and we'll see when we can find a mutually agreeable time next year for this presentation to occur.

Apply to be on the October 15th panel or to be a speaker in 2020 here: https://forms.gle/nJmy6Zp6ZKnbniE3A
