CodeUp Stockport May Monthly Session
Details
Happy Birthday to us!! May will mark our 1 year anniversary where we'll be treating the best birthday hack to some cake! (and everyone else if you ask nicely)
You know where to find us at the Bredbury Hub (https://twitter.com/bredburyhub) from 7pm on the 22nd May.
One of our new mentors Oliver Brammer (https://twitter.com/octobyte)will be kicking us off, expanding on from Jim's March session on Git, to show you more tricks of the trade.
Mike Little (https://twitter.com/mikelittlezed1) will then show you a practical Git example of how you can store your Wordpress source code using Git.
If we get time before/after/in-between, we'll do a Q&A session, and as always if you have any burning queries just grab someone wearing a 'Mentor' lanyard.
We've kicked off our Facebook group this week too, so if you want to get involved and join some likeminded people from all of the CodeUp sessions across the UK (and the world) just shout and we'll point you in the right direction :).
Don't worry if you've never been to one of our sessions before, we're a friendly bunch and we'll get you started.

Further info
CodeUp Stockport is a mentoring program for adults who would like to learn how to code for free. Once a month we provide a workspace for people with no programming skills to come and learn the basics, with mentors available to answer your questions and help you on your way. Our sessions are suitable for people with basic skills who need support, and even for people with intermediate or advanced skills who want a space where everyone is immersed in code!
We'll provide a supportive space to work - just bring your laptop, your curiosity and your hunger to learn!
NB If you are coming to CodeUp with a very specific question or problem, please comment with details so we can try to have a mentor in attendance who can help you!
One more thing, there are some free parking spaces available, but please only use those marked with an "M".
