Now we're over the January blues, let's get into some proper code. For February, we're back in the brilliant Strata house, kindly provided by CDL.

The inestimable Mike Little will continue his dive into WordPress custom child themes. We'll also have our usual drop in session, where our friendly mentors can help out with your projects, and get you going when you get stuck. If you just want to come along and work on your own pet project while surrounded by people immersed in code, that's fine too!

We aim to have another workshop or session running at the same time, this is still to be confirmed. Check back later to see what we come up with - and feel free to suggest topics in last month's feedback form.

If you have any side projects that you need help with or want to show off, then bring them along and we'll give you any help you need.

As always, our mentors will be free to help you with any burning questions you have, so just shout (politely) at someone wearing a 'Mentor' lanyard if you get stuck.

Don't forget to let us know if you want access to the CodeUp Facebook group, a place where you can get involved outside of the sessions.

If you've never been to one of our sessions before then don't worry we're a friendly bunch and we'll get you started.

Further info

CodeUp Stockport is a mentoring program for adults who would like to learn how to code for free. Once a month we provide a workspace for people with no programming skills to come and learn the basics, with mentors available to answer your questions and help you on your way. Our sessions are suitable for people with basic skills who need support, and even for people with intermediate or advanced skills who want a space where everyone is immersed in code!

We'll provide a supportive space to work - just bring your laptop, your curiosity and your hunger to learn!

NB If you are coming to CodeUp with a very specific question or problem, please comment with details so we can try to have a mentor in attendance who can help you!
