What we're about

Are you looking for a real, practical way to help enhance the quality of life in Bryan/College Station? Code for BCS is here to do just that. We are dreamers, developers, technologists, and community organizers interested in putting technology to work in service of our local community. We welcome all skill levels, disciplines, and occupations. No coding experience necessary!

Code for BCS is a Code for America Brigade (local chapter) focused on improving the lives of residents in Bryan/College Station. We exist to enhance the relationship between people and government by developing solutions through technology to serve the public good. We will work with local government to fix services, open data to the public, and strive for the betterment of all citizens. We are a small group of volunteers just starting out so there are plenty of opportunities to use your skills. We hope you'll stop by and consider being part of a movement to improve our community. We truly believe that government can work, for the people, by the people, in the 21st century if we all help.

Check out our Meetup page for the next scheduled meeting, or join our Slack Workspace (https://goo.gl/LAAayq) and check out our Github Repos (https://github.com/codeforbcs) to see what we're working on. See you then!
