ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Raluca Radu (Co-Organiser GPeC, Owner MTH Digital & Country Manager Answear.ro)

Raluca Radu is the Country Manager of ANSWEAR.ro and the Co-Organiser of GPeC – the most important e-commerce event in Romania, happening twice a year starting from 2006.

With an extensive experience of over 12 years in digital strategies for online business and online marketing, Raluca is deeply involved in the education and growth of e-commerce in Romania.

In her spare time, Raluca acts as both an e-commerce trainer as well as online strategy consultant, offering feedback and helping online startups grow. During her career, Raluca was responsible for the launch of the online classifieds leader OLX.ro on the Romanian market and the for the successful growth of team forming of other online projects, while she was Country Manager for Naspers Romania. A Computer Science graduate and mathematics aficionada, Raluca is convinced that logic and data is the basis of any effective business strategy.

Silvia Stegaru (Co-founder Codette)

Silvia Stegaru is co-founder at Codette and an embedded software engineer at NXP Semiconductors. She has over 10 years experience in volunteering, from creating training materials to leading teams organizing different events. Silvia has contributed to programs such as IoT4Girls, Celebration Day, Codette Traveler, etc. She is an active member of the tech community. Her activity has been rewarded with numerous awards, such as the Google Anita Borg Scholarship (renamed as Women Techmakers) and Forbes 30 under 30 Romania. Recently, she has become an alumni for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) from the U.S.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program. It has been organized for more than 75 years and it includes numerous tracks (Tony Blair - ex prime-minister in the UK - and Muhammad Yunus - winner of the Nobel prize for peace - are among the most famous alumni). This year, Silvia joined the "Hidden No More" track, inspired by the "Hidden Figures" movie. She was one of the 48 participants that traveled in the U.S. from East To West. In just 3 weeks, she visited 4 cities: Washington DC, Albuquerque (New Mexico), Seattle (Washington), Los Angeles (California).
