Learn constructs for both Object Oriented and Functional programming styles, which can be mixed using Kotlin. This is power packed. Kotlin is is concise, expressive, and safe. It is a modern, statically typed language within the JVM developed by JetBrains under the Apache 2.0 license.

In this session, you will:

o Get an overview of Kotlin’s features

o Build a "Hello, World! app and solve a basic algorithm problem

o Run a Kotlin Spring Boot application with authentication

You will need the following software components pre-installed:

1. Java 8

2. Apache Maven

3. An IDE of your choice (e.g. IntelliJ or Eclipse or NetBeans)
