LAST ENGLISH IN THE PARK UNTIL 2024: (TETE D'OR, plus picnic/music)

UPDATE: PICNIC AFTER ENGLISH WITH MUSIC, FROM ONE OF OUR MEMBERS, GUILLAUME: You are invited to a picnic with music in parc de la tête d'Or this Saturday (TOMORROW) for lunch. We can meet near the Jussieu statute just right after the English meetup (SEE COFFEE AND ENGLISH ON MEETUP). So for the persons who want to join for the picnic only, we will start at 11:45. We will sing and play instruments. We can play well-known songs and/or improvise with instruments and voice. I can organise some circle songs or other kind of singing improvisation sessions. Please bring your own food.

NOTE: October 14th is our LAST DAY IN THE PARK for English. Please remind one another. See you at CAFE PERL beginning October 21st. Be sure to sign up in advance for Saturday mornings because once we are inside, the spots fill up very fast! If you're on the waitlist, LET JOHNNA know so she can let you in if a space opens up.

REMINDER: You may want to bring something to sit on (blanket, plastic bag, etc.) In the RARE case of rain, bring an umbrella if it's raining and we will walk the park together in small groups. If it's ever raining bad enough to cancel, we will cancel about two hours before the event.

NOTE: We will meet outside in Parc de la Tête d'Or from May 6th through mid-October. Check the PIN on the map to find the exact location. Nearest metros are Charpennes, Massena and Brotteaux. Nearest bus stop Parc de la Tête d'Or - Verguin. ENTRANCES: "Entrée du lycée du parc" and "Entrée Tête d'Or". We do NOT meet near the main entrance called Entrée des Enfants du Rhone.

WE REQUIRE A DIGITAL ANNUAL PASS THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE BY DONATING AT LEAST 1 EURO. SUGGESTED DONATION IS 10 EUROS AND THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE YEAR AND BOTH OF OUR GROUPS, INTERNATIONAL HANGOUT and COFFEE AND ENGLISH. You can bring CASH when you come, or you may ask for my PayPal address or bank IBAN/RIB for you to send a bank transfer.

We implemented a free-will donation in 2022 to have greater sustainability for our groups, ask people to invest a bit, and hopefully cut-down on last minute cancellations and no-shows.

We break into small groups of about 7 to 10 people each. Questions are provided for discussion. Be prepared to TALK and ASK each other questions. Please also be prepared to LISTEN. This is a conversational group. It is a fun and relaxing way to practice English for all levels!
