Los Angeles Cognitive Computing .. first meeting.

Hello LA Cognitive Computers (CC),

This is the first LA meeting and is an orientation. It will be held at UCLA (time and place to be determiend). Once we get together, the group will decide the focus and methods of this meetup. The general idea is Cognitive Science based computer application design, development, and implementation.

In Boston, we are more focused on the IBM Watson products and services (at this time). Even so, many of the concepts are the same for Microsoft software.

I have loaded our Boston orientation slides here (http://files.meetup.com/14210882/1404Orientation.pdf). This will give you a feel for what we are trying to accomplish as a CC platform agnostic group.

CC is coming. It is the next step beyond Big Data. In Boston, we think of it as "applied Big Data."

If you believe that applications will become more "cognitive" in the future, come join in our collective efforts.
