August Creative Technologists Meetup – REYEDR

Details

Join us this month to hear the kiwi tech startup story of REYEDR.

REYEDR (http://www.reyedr.com/) is a heads-up display (HUD) that attaches to a motorcycle helmet and displays speed, navigation, distance, caller id and more. A smartphone app enables key information about the bike, route and ride group. REYEDR utilizes the latest in holographic technology to display a virtual image at infinite focus which aims to eventually replace the physical motorcycle dashboard!

Conceived in 2015 with an idea and a prototype REYEDR has attracted interest and support since its conception. Finalists in the University of Auckland’s Entrepreneurship Challenge 2015, and Alumni of the Lightning Lab Digital Accelerator 2016. Seed funding and a Callaghan Innovation R&D grant supported continued prototype development. In 2017 REYEDR was showcased at CES and was awarded Display Component of the Year from SID (Society of Information Displays). The company is now in a Design for Manufacture stage to ready the product for commercial release.
