Everyone is always talking about what they are building... feature, functions, bells, whistles...
Let's hear from people who started building something and killed a feature because they learned it was wrong for the product or the audience. Or let's hear from people who killed entire projects voluntarily BEFORE they ran out of money or wanted to kill their cofounders.
BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME IS A FLAWED APPROACH!
Let's talk about that.
Texas Hold em style tournament. 10 person max. At the table will be 5 founders, one investor, one blogger, one mentor, one techie, and one wildcard.
PRIZES Winner gets a prize (real one, like an xbox or $100 gift card to a restaurant, just need to make sure that is legal). Everyone gets a brand new startup book (I've read it, it's brilliant) and pizza.
IMPORTANT WHEN AND WHERE THE EVENT IS NOT HAPPENING UNTIL WE GET 10 RSVPs and everyone at the table confirms their spot. Do not depend on it until you get a confirmation. RSVP only to show you are interested in one of the seats. Event will take place on a weekday evening starting at 7pm. Most likely at a co-working space. Most likely at AllleyNYC. OONA Please do not RSVP no then yell at us for not being in the right spot:) We run experiments around here...
