You know there’s a pay gap—and that women are often passed over for everything from raises to funding rounds. So what can we do about it? For our very first event, we’ll be focusing on money—how to ask for more of it (and be more successful when we do), why more transparency about money helps everyone, and how we can all support each other along the way.

We’ll also be digging into the emotional side of things: How do we deal with the misperceptions and biases we face when we try to get (closer to) what we deserve? And how do we navigate our feelings and frustrations as we deal with a world that’s often working against us?

OUR GUEST: KAREN McGRANE

This is a big topic, so we need a super-smart expert to help us navigate it. Thankfully, we’ll be joined by Karen McGrane.

Karen is the founder of Bond Art + Science, where she leads content strategy and information architecture engagements for companies like IBM and Marriott. She also teaches Design Management in the MFA in Interaction Design program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Prior to starting Bond in 2006, she was the VP and national lead for user experience at Razorfish, leading major design projects for clients like The New York Times, Condé Nast, and Disney.
