Is anyone up for a short weekday walk around Wraysbury. The walk is about 4.5 miles and follows the route shown in the attached picture. I should take less than 2 hours. The walk is generally flat although there are a few stiles. There will be some great views as we walk the Coln Brook and pass the Ankerwycke Estate. There is free parking at the bowls club (please use the public car park not members car park) TW19 5NA Please wear sensible footwear for a 4 mile walk and bring water and any snacks that you might like for the walk. Weather is unknown and rain will stop play so please check for updates on the day. Please RSVP so I know to wait for you. I plan to set off from the car at 7pm latest. Theresa.
Quiz Night - This time at a different venue, although I expect the format to be the same - around 50 questions including a picture round, general knowledge, science and technology and a mystery round. Not sure on the prizes offered, possibly drinks and chocs and a chance to win the cash pot. But it's not about that - Shall we see what we can remember without the use of our mobile phones! Max team is 7 - if more people want to attend and the wait list has at least 3 people I will increase to 2 teams. Something active on a Saturday morning! Yeah I know, but 10.30 - 12.30 is not that bad and it's a great concept. It's a couple of hours once a month to help maintain the biodiversity of the nature site. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Training, tools and gloves will be provided. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for outdoor gardening type activities. When: Saturday 1st June Time: 10.30 - 12.30 Where: Entrance to wildlife site on London Road Short walk from most of Colnbrook. Some street parking spots in Crown Meadow. Best option would be the free car park at the Colnbrook Community Centre, then a quick walk to the meet point. Close to 81 bus stops.
