What we're about

Welcome to Colorado Backgammon

The Colorado Backgammon Club provides players a chance to participate in tournament and league play on a regular basis, as well as learn basic rules and strategy of the game, including how to use the doubling cube. All events are conducted by volunteers with personal commitments to making every event a fantastic experience, while working towards growing the backgammon community. We currently meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays each month for Online League Tournament play as well as occasional monthly and quarterly tournaments. You must be a USBGF member to participate in tournament play. From time to time, we will be offering free Novice and Intermediate weekend clinics, so check back occasionally to see what is on the schedule. Free clinics do not require USBGF membership, but their are tons of resources available to its members, so check it out. The Colorado Backgammon Club was also selected to be part of the USBGF 2020 Local Club Initiative which was won by Charlie Raichle. Charlie was also the 2020 Colorado Backgammon Club Player-of-the-Year. Congratulations Charlie!

Please spend a moment and check out our websites – DenverBG.org (https://denverbg.org) and ColoradoBackgammon.com (http://www.coloradobackgammon.com). The Colorado Backgammon Club uses Meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Colorado-Backgammon-Association) for all online and venue information as well as updated tournament and clinic details. Tournament rules governing play are posted on the USBGF website (http://usbgf.org/docs/rules.pdf). We play using the Crawford rule and legal moves (http://www.coloradobackgammon.com/examples-legal-moves/).

*All Staff are strictly volunteers, please contact us if you would like to help.
**100% of any and all donations and / or proceeds go towards maintaining the Colorado and Denver Backgammon programs and member benefits.
