What we're about

Are you looking for a new social experience? Looking to escape reality for just a little? Do you want to try a different type of improvised acting? Look no further than our group! We are a guild of nerds who enjoy LARP (Live Action Role Playing), playing board games, and taking part in social outings. Though you might have heard of LARP, you've never played it the way we do! We are a small troupe group with 17+ years of experience in running and playing games. Our main focus is to help introduce role playing to those who have never experienced it before. However we would also love for intermediate and advanced players to come check out how we LARP! Join our group if you're looking for something new and exciting. We look forward to seeing and meeting you!

Group Rules:
1) All members must be at least 18 years old because we may may have adult themes in our LARP. Nobody under 18 will be allowed at any events run by the organizers except for rare social events.
2) Our current venue is the home of Andrew and Genavieve and contains cats.
3) No real weapons are allowed at game.
4) No alcohol is allowed at game unless approved by the event staff.
5) Player VS Player actions (actions where players are directly fighting each other or acting against each other) are not allowed in character unless all parties involved and the storyteller staff all agree that the actions lead to a good story.

Important Disclaimer:
Changeling is a game of loss, magic, madness and survival. Most characters in the game are suffering from a version of post traumatic stress. They survived something awful that most people can’t imagine. That leaves lasting mental and emotional scars. This means the game will often have some dark themes and events.

There will be plenty of wacky adventures as well for the sake of balance. However, when we deal with dark events it can get really dark. This is why we have the requirement that everyone in the group has to be at least 18 years old.

The storyteller staff will never run any plots dealing with rape or hurting children. Both of these types of plots can trigger complex emotions in players and the storyteller staff has decided that these are not the types of stories we want to tell. However, these are the only creative limitations we are placing on our stories.

Other plots may be run that upset you due to your specific circumstances. If one of these is run we highly encourage you to go out of character and excuse yourself from the scene. You will never be penalized for doing so. However, the scene will continue without you. We want to keep our players as happy as possible but we also need to have the creative freedom to tell the types of stories that we want to tell. If you need to go out of character for this reason a room will be made available for your use.
