What we're about

Colorado Springs Cycling Club (CSCC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide a variety of bicycling activities. We have weekly rides, annual rides, member meetings with educational topics and parties, and training. For non-club rides such as Elephant Rock, we use Meetup to let our members know who is planning to attend so they can carpool and possibly ride together.

If you are not yet a member of CSCC, we invite you to join us for one ride. If you have a good time and want to ride with us more, you can visit our website to join the club (https://bikesprings.org/join-us). Annual dues are $21 for an individual or $28 for a family.

2019 Monday Dinner Ride – 27 May 2019

Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza - University Village Colorado Springs

We'll continue the 2019 season on 27 May. The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy with a high temp of 68 degrees, and some chance of rain later in the evening/night. So, at this point, we’re a go for a Memorial Day evening ride! First, just a reminder: While this is classified as a Green ride, you should be able to continuously ride comfortably at a speed of 10 miles per hour, with a variation of speed between 9 and 15 mph (depending on uphill or downhill). Typically, the ride will be 10 to 14 miles in length (gradually moving towards that 14-mile length as we progress into the summer). For the Memorial Day Dinner Ride, plan to gather in the parking lot in University Village (adjacent to Il Vicino) at 5:15pm. Be prepared to begin the ride promptly at 5:30. For this ride, we'll exit out of UVC to the east, sample a bit of the new Cottonwood Trail and then enjoy some more of that smooth pavement on Mark Dabling. As planned https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30029371 the ride is 11 ½ miles long with less than 500’ of elevation gain. That should give us a sufficient amount of fresh air and exercise to be hungry enough to eat at Panera Bread at UVC.

CSCC Tuesday Usual Suspects Ride / USAFA - 10 A.M. START TIME

Dr. Julie tells me it will be TB practice day at USAFA. Practice starts at 10:30. We can get a ride started and when the show starts we can stop and watch the performance. As a side note - so far the weather forecast for Tuesday is once again iffy - Hopefully that will change. Don't forget your I.D.
