We welcome ANY kind person who wants to meet other kind persons to sweat, laugh and talk together. Group stretching (pre & post hike), and/ or meditation would be nice.

Will hike many trails in and around the Springs, year-round, ranging from easy to hard and 4+ miles. WEEKLY POSTING of TRAIL LOCATION. Children (age 10+) and Dogs (leashed) are welcomed.

I am excited to be a part of this group and can't wait to meet other outdoor enthusiasts!

Safeway

*** Meet at Safeway in Woodland Park at 9:30 am to carpool to trailhead.

This is about 6.8 mile moderate loop with about 1,100 elevation gain in Catamount Ranch Open Space in Divide with beautiful views.

DOGS: Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcomed!

CARPOOL: Strongly suggested since parking is severely limited. If you choose to CARPOOL, mask is required during ride sharing.

Hump Day Hiker's Journey to St. Mary's Falls

North Cheyenne Cañon Park

*** Meet at 5:30 in large parking lot ABOVE Helen Hunt Falls to walk to the trailhead.

St. Mary's Falls is a moderate 6+ mile hike with 1400 ft elevation that features a gradual incline along the river up to a beautiful falls.

*** Weather: Estimated high temp 70 degrees and partly cloudy.

*** Animals: Dogs welcomed. Leashed.

*** NEEDED: Water, drinks and food to share, FLASHLIGHT, light jacket and hiking poles helpful.

Socializing break at top then hike back to bottom.

First 14er - Mountaineering Mt. Sherman

Mountaineering on Mt. Sherman is a strenuous, high-elevation, class 2 climb for fit hikers only!

***MEET at TBD at 4:00 am. Carpool departs promptly at 4:15 am for 2.5 hr drive to Trailhead This route is 8.5 miles RT starting at 11,250' & climbing to 14,036' about 2,800 ft elevation gain!

***NEEDED: Required gear - Yaktrax/microspikes, food, water, electrolytes, sunscreen, sunglasses, layers, hats, gloves, rain gear, heavy jacket, hand/ foot warmers, ear protection, chapstick

***NO DOGS; standard language you have for all hikes; more info on 14ers.com.

***Like all our hikes, this is first come first serve and spots are limited to 15 hikers!

***There will be NO unapproved last minute addition or tag along.

***IMPORTANT:

- Wait-listed persons will replace those who drop out.

- Training hikes are highly suggested.

- Required! We will coordinate a long prerequisite hike once a month to prepare you. If you miss it you're expected to train on your own.

- Required! All approved hikers must attend a prehike meeting 7 - 10 days before the hike day

- For the safety of all hikers, anyone unable to complete at least 80% of the prerequisite hikes will be CUT.

Shaft House via Goose Creek Trail

Dirt lot between Venture Foods and Lagree Liquor, Divide, CO

***7:30 am - MEET at dirt lot just east of Venture Foods on Hwy 24 (11115 US-24, Divide, CO 80814) to carpool to Trailhead about 75 minutes away.

***SIGN IN and BUDDY System Required!

***This trail is about 11 miles moderate out and back with about 1700 ft elevation gain total. Great rock formations and unique ruins are nice rewards on this hike!

***Animals: Friendly and manageable dogs are welcomed (leashed).

***WEATHER: ?? degrees and ???

***NEEDED: Water (lots), snacks, hiking poles, sunglasses, layer clothing, hat, sunscreen and snacks/drinks to share. Always be prepared with water, food, safety equipment (whistle, bear spray, poncho/ hand and foot warmers, matches, your medication, flashlight etc), gps trail tracker like Cotrex or Alltrails and first aid items.

*** Trail conditions: Good Socializing, drinking/eating and photos at several scenic spots.
