Hello!

A couple of date/location updates for this week’s events so we can give you a split screen special with your choice of two great films! We'll call it a little bit of holiday season / split screen fun!

Both events will take place on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9th at AMC LENNOX! Join Dan in seeing the winner of the Toronto Film Festival: ROOM! This film features powerhouse female lead performance by Brie Larson, an early Best Actress front-runner! The film is being hailed by many as the best this year!  Or, if you’re in the mood for something Christmasy and Creepy, join Derek for our CMG Horror/Thriller Series event to see the horror/dark comedy KRAMPUS! After the shows, both groups will enjoy some post-movie food, fun and drinks next door at Champp’s! Details for both of these events can be found below!

Also on the calendar is our event to see the exceptionally well-reviewed CREED on Monday, 12/14 at AMC Easton! This spin-off/sequel starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone is proving to be a season favorite and a real crowd-pleaser that critics and audiences can’t get enough of!

TORONTO FILM FEST WINNER: ROOM on Wednesday, December 9th at AMC Lennox!

• PLAN: Purchase your ticket for the 7:00pm showing and meet Dan inside the theater lobby between 6:30 and 6:45pm! After the movie, we’ll all head next door to Champp’s where we’ll meet up with the Krampus group for some post-movie food and drinks!
• DESCRIPTION: A woman and her 5-year old son are kidnapped and held captive in a garden shed. Escaping from the captivity in which they have been held for half a decade, they struggle to adjust to the strange, terrifying and wondrous world outside their one-room prison. Room is directed by Lenny Abrahamson and stars Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay in a couple of award-caliber performances along with Joan Allen and William H. Macy.
• BUZZ: Room is earning an astounding 95%+ positive rating from critics and audiences! The film was selected Grand Prize winner at the Toronto Film Festival and the performances by Brie Larson and newcomer Jacob Tremblay have been hailed among the year’s best!

CMG HORROR/THRILLER SERIES: KRAMPUS on Wednesday, December 9th at AMC Lennox!

• PLAN: Purchase your ticket for the 7:30pm showing and meet Derek inside the theater lobby between 7:00pm and 7:15pm. Afterwards, be sure to join us next door at Champp’s where we’ll meet up with the Room group for some fun post-movie food and drinks!
• DESCRIPTION: While the holiday season represents the most magical time of year, ancient European folklore warns of Krampus, a horned beast who punishes naughty children at Christmastime. When dysfunctional family squabbling causes young Max to lose his festive spirit, it unleashes the wrath of this fearsome demon. As Krampus lays siege to the Engel home, mom, pop, sister and brother must band together to save one another from a monstrous fate. Krampus stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette and Dvid Koechner!

Coming Soon:

CREED at AMC Easton on Monday, December 14th!

• Don’t miss joining us for what is turning out to be the hit of the holiday season: CREED! This film is the seventh in the Rocky series and is both a spin-off from the original series and a direct successor to 2006’s terrific Rocky Balboa!
• DESCRIPTION: Michael B Jordan stars as Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of the heavyweight boxing champ, Apollo Creed. Having never known his late father, he finds himself fighting in the shadow of his late father’s legacy. He travels to Philadelphia, where he meets Rocky Balboa and requests that the elder boxer train him. Creed stars Sylvester Stallone, Michael B. Jordan, Phylicia Rashad and Tessa Thompson! The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, who also directed Mr. Jordan in the excellent Fruitvale Station!
• BUZZ: Reviews are spectacular earning universal acclaim on both Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes!  Reviewers are calling CREED “rousing in spirit, surprisingly emotional" and “the best installment since the 1976 original!”
