Interested in helping to lead a portion of our riders?

As we have grown these 4 years we have a good problem:

1. When more than 16 to 20 CMR Enthusiasts are in a group we cant always keep everyone together "as a group ride".

2. Even with great route planning and minimal intersecting traffic the "accordion effect" still happens with the spacing distance in a staggered riding formation.  See our reference materials on this CMR MeetUp site for instructions and tips on better group riding proficiency.

3. This year we know we are going to have even more CMR Enthusiasts riding and we want to do it SAFELY so that no one get's discouraged or feels as though they cant ride with us.

We are looking for fellow CMR Enthusiasts who would be willing to help lead a "sub-group" of our fellow riders.  In other words if 30 or so are riding we'd like to have TWO groups to make it safer and more manageable and to increase the fun factor!

If we had 45 or 50 we'd like to have THREE groups, and so on.  (A nice "problem" to have!)

If you'd like more info and to be considered for this I'd like to speak with you personally at the Skills Practice Day on Saturday the 27th.  I think it would be of benefit for all of us!

A few things to keep in mind:

We are all volunteers... so you should have a "servant's heart" in helping your fellow CMR Enthusiasts first and foremost.

If you have a CB equipped scooter that's great but not a requirement (I don't! I like wind, not static!).

I'm looking for candidates, and not all that want to may be accepted depending on skill set, attitude, etc - but no decisions will be made on the 27th... that will be later.

And this "flow control" (as air traffic controllers) does NOT mean you set up the ride and don't have fun!  On the contrary - you will have fun - as we all enjoy each of our CMR rides.

PS:  Diane and Tom are going to be up to their eyeballs with the set up and monitoring of the Practice Skills Day Event so don't chat-em-up about this - see me directly please.  I'll have a special list for those who express interest and you can ask me any questions at that time!

PPS: Sometime later we may have a short meeting either in person or by phone.

PPPS: Ladies are encouraged too!
