I am hosting online drop - in Improvisation classes for all levels, whether you have done improv before or you are jumping into the fun world of making things up as you go along for the very first time. Improv is a cool way to get out of your monkey mind and into your creative self, suspending any judgement and allowing yourself to form stories, sketches, comedy and unforgetable moments together, just like that on the spot (or at times of self-isolation - from your cosy couch). Just like the famous improv show "whose line is it anyway" we explore comedic moments and characters, play connection and communication games and dive into the craft of improvisation. Everyone is welcome! The classes are hosted once a week through ZOOM and are 1 1/2 hours long with lots of fun activities, exercises and scenes. The online workshop is hosted by me, Karolina Kriks, an actor and improviser, who has been teaching improvisation for the past 5 years and has been improvising for more than 7 years, from comedy short form improv to long-form improv, you name it. I am a cast member of the comedy Improv group "Improvable" and also the "improvised play" which explores long-form narratives in the style of different playwrights and has had hugely successful runs in London and Edinburgh. I also teach improv courses for beginners and advanced, both long and short-form, run drop-ins for people who suffer from anxiety and depression and always bring new material and exercises through my experience and training as an actor.
The classes require a minimum of 8 participants to ensure that we have enough people to work with and swap improv partners for different exercises.
Payment can be done in advance over paypal. Classes take place every Thursday evening at 7 pm UK time, people from all ove the world are welcome :)
