What we're about

This group is for those individuals who most closely identify as female/women and who are interested in, and open to, comic books - all levels of comic book experience welcome. We vote for comic books to read at our comic meetups so come to one to add to the list and cast your vote. We generally discuss one comic a month and have virtual chats every other week. You'll get out of this group what you put in so we encourage every new member to attend as many events as possible as well as get active on our discord. We're a great group of women and are excited to meet you. We do require a $10 a year fee solely to cover the cost of this webpage. Please note: our meetup group is limited to 50 members but any woman is welcome to show up to a meetup regardless of membership.

Comic Book Club for Women Inclusivity Statement:
We welcome trans women and genderqueer and non-binary individuals who most closely identify as women. If you feel you would belong here, welcome!
We are an all ages group. However, the comics we read and our discussions may not be appropriate for children. (Per Meetup policy, all children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian.) Please use your best judgment when deciding whether to attend or bring guests.
If you have questions or feedback about the above statement, please contact one of the organizers either in person or through the Meetup messaging feature.

Denver Fan Expo

Needs a location

For those that are attending Denver's Fan Expo and want to meet up:

10:30am Meet at the Photo Op area (2nd floor, Exhibit Hall, right by the food court). We'll take pictures, talk about our plan of actions, and see each other off!

5:30pm Meet by room 711 (downstairs/1st floor). We'll walk together to Illegal Pete's, eat dinner, and talk about our days!

Get an Arapahoe Library Card

Needs a location

Want an Arapahoe Library Card? Now's the perfect chance to get one. We'll meet at Elisabeth's library, Southglenn, and she can help you get a card. All you need to bring is an ID, doesn't even have to have your current address on it. As long as you have a form of ID and you live somewhere in Colorado, you can get an Arapahoe Libraries Card.

What other libraries should we meet at to get cards? Let me know.

Virtual Hangout

Link visible for attendees

Every other week, join our zoom call to catch up, answer a question, and be creative.
Question of the week: What three things make you smile?

Unofficial: Lake Day

Needs a location

4/28/22: Changing Lake Day to July 17th. :D

We tend to stay at Cherry Creek Reservoir all day and we bring snacks. We can plan more as the day gets closer, just wanted to put this on the calendar now.
