We do this fundraiser once a year to help raise funds to support the program and keep it going. Without all of you and your donations, the program simply wouldn't have expanded as much as it has over the years!

We are currently in the process of expanding into more Division within Cook County Correctional Facilities and for that to happen we will be needed more supplies for more people! The classes we teach rely on volunteers, donations, and our annual fundraiser. As we allow students to keep their projects and access free materials after their release, we have a high material turnover rate and are constantly in need. What our fundraiser and donations don't cover comes from the pockets of our volunteers.

Additionally, we are excited to announce the Jacqueline Thomas Memorial Fund, in memory of Jaqueline who passed away this year. Jackie was a huge fan of Committed Knitter's and is sorely missed. The Jaqueline Thomas Memorial Fund will provide funding so that Officers at Cook County Jail can access free knitting supplies and classes in connection with our program.
