We all experience some sort of anxiety and stress in our lives. Tapping or EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping) has been clinically proven to manage stress, reduce cortisol levels, improve anxiety and even treat PTSD in veterans. Because tapping is a gentle and easy-to-follow technique, anyone struggling with stress, anxiety or pain can benefit from it. I have been using this technique for over 15 years to overcome several issues that arise in life. Now more than ever I want to share this technique. It is easy to access and can be done anywhere and anytime you need a self-care break.
We will meet via zoom and discuss tapping techniques and how the process may be beneficial to you. This will be a zoom meeting and I will send out the zoom details to those who sign up. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness (yoga nidra) is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In Yoga Nidra the practitioner remains in a state of complete relaxation - in somewhat of sensory withdrawal using verbal instruction (from me) to internalize and focus on breathing and body.
Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining fully consciousness. The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. It is an ancient practice and has been scientifically proven to reduce tension and anxiety. It is currently being used extensively for the treatment of PTSD.
Although it is preferred this be done in person due to the lingering covid concerns we will use zoom. I will send out zoom link an hour before class to those who signed up.
I am planning a workshop (or series of workshops) on building your own yoga practice to be done at home or wherever you want. We will cover poses and breath work to get you where you want to be. This will be of benefit to over all fitness and well being. I will have you fill out questionnaires to identify what it is you want to get out of your personal practice. We will put together an asana (posture), pranayama (breath work) and meditation to suit your needs. Nutrition will also be discussed with some sharing of yummy good for you recipes. Bring yours to share.
Although a date has not been set I am posting this to see if there is interest. I am planning on this to be a series of workshops - as days and minutes change so do we. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in.
